I am a first year teacher with limited resources. In our school, teachers are encouraged to incorporate S.T.E.A.M ; science, technology, engineering, arts and math into their lessons, with the assistance of the laptops students will be able to take ownership for their learning by involving the use of technology to assist them in the activities.
My goals is to provide an environment where students have the ability to go beyond the bounds of our classroom walls through the help of technology. Technology has opened a wide range of different learning opportunities for students, it has enriched their understanding and provided a more rigorous content where differentiated learning can be applied.
Students will be able to quench their thirst for the world by acquiring the answers to their curious minds through engaging research assignments. The students in my classroom will have the opportunity to work together during project based assignments.
Integrating laptops in our classroom will also allow students to activate virtual lab assignments that will enhance their ability to apply skills that will require high order critical thinking, a concept they will need to master for state wide assessments.
