My students need a variety of activities that keep their interest and attention. I am always looking for new and innovative ways to facilitate their learning. I have found a fantastic mini robot that my kids love to have in our workstations. It is called an Ozobot, and teaches beginning coding and programming in a way so as not to frustrate students but to ensure success and understanding.
The six Ozobots and the USB charging station I am asking for will allow my students to begin learning the basics of coding and spark an interest in Computer Science. These little robots respond to commands drawn on paper with colored markers. Students will problem solve to program their bot to take certain routes, back up, spin around, change colors, walk backwards, and many other tricks. We are also able to access games and challenges through an app using our iPad. Activities like these make school and learning fun, especially to reluctant learners.
