These books will be one of the ways I teach essential social skills for life and learning. Along with teaching social skills these books will be essential to teaching characters, main idea, setting, problem solving, compare and contrast sequencing and plot. The books will engage my second graders with writing activities. I will read the books at the beginning of the week and that will be our social theme of the week. I have an interactive bulletin board designated for the activities that go along with the books. I am so excited to see the difference of teaching with these books!
