Being physically comfortable in the classroom helps comprehension and generating new ideas. We currently have old and uncomfortable seating in the science laboratory. Many students spend multiple class periods at the lab tables without backrests and the current seats are unforgiving and hard.
The future of science is currently sitting in classrooms across the globe. I want the scientists I am nurturing to focus on their projects and ideas, not shifting and fidgeting uncomfortably.
Public school funding leans toward practicality over comfort. I want my students to have functionality and comfort in their learning environment.
