These students are all autistic. The goal of our program is to make them as independent as possible and to help them gain basic skills that will prepare them for high school and life. Within this context our program promotes self advocacy through communication and the development of skills that might assist them in life. The students learn best with hands-on projects and visuals and need to master the individual skills required before being taught to generalize the skills across environments.
