When I think of my students, I think of the quote from the movie Forrest Gump, "My mama always said that life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." That's exactly how I feel about my students. I'll never know what I'm going to get unless I find a way to tap into their young minds and pull out their interests.
I am fortunate to be an alumni of the school at which I now teach, and am proud to say that I love our community because of its cultural diversity which hasn't changed much over the years. The students at our school get along well with one another and encourage each other to try their best. I would like to ensure that our school and community will continue to thrive and that every student will have equal opportunities and resources so that they can be successful in life.
