I am the Media Coordinator at my school. I teach classes in the library and in the computer lab. My students do a lot of research throughout the year and create technology-based projects to show what they have learned. Our computer lab is small and crowded, and the computers are all desktop models.
You truly know something when you can teach it to others. A new laptop computer will allow us to show what we have learned to students in other classes as well as our families in the auditorium, a space much better suited for larger groups of people. In addition, we will use the computer to play the music and videos for any PTO programs and school-wide events.
Our current computer in the auditorium is very old and runs slowly. It doesn't support the speed needed for multimedia projects that my students are creating in the computer lab, so often music or video lags or skips. We would love to be able to show the awesome things that the students create with others.
Your donation will allow my students to become experts on a topic and prove they are such by teaching it to others.
