My students are bright, enthusiastic and energetic. They attend YCCS which is a Title 1 school where most children receive free or reduced lunch due to their economic status. Many of these awesome young people go home much later than dismissal time and sometimes to an empty home because their caretaker is still working. Many have part-time jobs to help alleviate their family's financial burden.
I would like to provide students easy access to a variety of books in order to foster a love for reading that I know will open doors for them in the future.
