My current students are lucky...there are 34 computers in the computer lab that I teach in. Every child in the building gets the opportunity to use them at least once a week to learn about different aspects of technology and how to use it in the classroom. Most of my students don't have computers at home, due to low socio-economic status, and this is the only time that most of them get to see the world through the eyes of the Internet. My students are very needy, and for some the only food they get is what our school provides. I'm really trying to make a difference in their lives by showing them what else is out there besides what they see in the inner city.
