I teach 5th grade and I love it! My students are making the transition from child to teenager and it's amazing being part of their growth toward adulthood. The kids I teach come from a small, rural community where there is a large population of migrant farmworkers. They are funny, smart, and independant. This is their last year of elementary school and I work really hard to not only get them ready for the transition to middle school, but also to be a successful members of the community. In my classroom we value hard work, reading books, kindness, and leadership.
