My students love to perform on instruments while learning music!
We are in need of mallets and rhythm sticks so that we have enough instruments for all students to use while participating in making music. We use these items often during class.
Having enough mallets and rhythm sticks will help to keep all of my students engaged and actively learning. When my students are using rhythm sticks during movement activities that teach them about steady beat and rhythm, they won't have to take turns or use make shift instruments that I've created.
When students are performing music on our barred (Orff) instruments, having additional mallets will allow for more students to play at the same time. This will eliminate wait times, keeping the engagement level high as they make joyful music.
