My students with intellectual disabilities and autism are delayed in their fine motor and processing skills. The disorders hamper their ability to follow instructions. Lego Duplo blocks and new tablets present them with a colorful visual instruction card they can use to follow directions step by step in order to produce a toy.
Legos help my students with disabilities succeed and achieve by completing a build on their own! The colorful instruction cards enable the students to follow along picture by picture until the object is complete. These kits improve self-esteem by allowing the kids to learn visually. Additionally,new school and art supplies allow me to print my own visual instructions for additional projects. The Legos and art materials are great for helping the kids succeed.
