I have carefully researched each book title chosen to ensure student engagement. Some of the book are from popular series such as Pete the Cat, Biscuit, Digger the Dinosaur, and the class Dr. Seuss books. These books will be used in combination with a listening center that I am buying. They will build confidence by listening to these books and then reading them on their own. To increase the confidence, they will also read these books to volunteers or students in higher grades so show off their reading skills.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level. I know my students will cherish these books and treat them with love and care like I do to them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
