I have three eighth grade English classes that are studying WWll and The Holocaust by reading Anne Frank and studying the political climate and history of Nazi Germany. In the past, I have been able to take the students to the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust for FREE, but the museum is closed this year for renovation. Therefore, this year, I want to offer the students a trip to The Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, but the costs are exorbitant. The museum charges $12.00 per student (90 students total); two buses are needed, as well. One of the main goals of providing this trip is to teach that different people and cultures need acceptance and tolerance. As Ellie Wiesel said, "The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.
