Studies have shown that children will read more when offered a wide range of genres and reading levels. The READ 180 program offers this to students via different resources. One of these resources is Audio Books.
We have the audio books, but we have no way of playing them in the classroom. These CD players will allow students the opportunity to hear their stories. The Read 180 program consists of whole group instruction followed by 3 rotations and a whole group closing. One of the rotations is independent reading. During this time, they may read from an actual book or use an audio book. The audio books help the reluctant reader follow along and learn new words.
