Our school has about 500 children. We have 3 Kindergarten classes. Our population consist mostly of low income families. We have about 80% of our children on free or reduced lunch. School is a safe and inviting place for them. Most of our kids did not have the opportunity to attend preschool. This is their first experience being in school. As a teacher I strive to make each and every day the "best" day ever, where they look forward to being at school! The children prefer being at school over at home because we provide them with a place that is welcoming and a place where they can thrive! Curiosity is encouraged and learning is fostered. To quote the great Walt Disney, "Around here, we don't look backwards for very long...We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." The possibilities are endless with the right tools!
