I teach our students to love to learn. My students are 21st century thinkers. My students work in groups on projects that teach 21st Century skills. We use the Engineering Design Process to solve problems. When we read information anywhere, we think critically about the information and its origin. My students know that information comes at them from everywhere. They must be ready to think critically, work collaboratively, with creatively and communicate their results.
My students also understand that reading is fun. They talk openly about their favorite books and share their thoughts on recently read books with each other during library. I teach them that reading is a part of who we become as a person. We are what we read.
