My students are 5 and 6 year old kindergarteners in an urban inner city school. I have 20 students in my class, with some on special education individual education plans, as well as minority/low income students. We are in a large, relatively newer school, but technology is difficult to access. Giving the students on special ed plans, as well as all students, the opportunity to work with different mediums (other than the standard paper and pencil work) and different spaces (aside from sitting in chairs and desks) is important to their success. It is important for students to know how to work with technology as technology becomes more and more a part of daily lives.
