My school is located in the inner city. Our population is 100% poverty. Every child in the school receives a free lunch. The population of our school consists of bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) scholars and monolingual (English speaking only) scholars, We have a high population of scholars on IEPs (special education classes). All these scholars receive their education in the regular education classroom. I currently teach 5th grade math and science. Our classroom uses lots of hands on activities and technology within centers for the scholars to gain in their learning.
