Please help me provide my students with a library they can call their own- one where they want to spend time-making it the hub of our school. Literacy has been a large focus in our school and a "real" library would go a long way in helping to get our students excited about reading.
Despite what happens outside the school day, students deserve a library that will help to expand their imaginations and provide a safe, cozy place to explore whatever sets their dreams soaring.
I can find grants for books, but not for furniture, so I would like to be able to decorate in a way that makes our library inviting and less like a structured classroom, especially since the children have not been allowed in the library this last year due to COVID. The furniture will replace the old style classroom look, making the library comfortable and inviting. The STEM related items will encourage students to think, problem-solve, and work together.
