Thank you for your support! "Best Day Ever" plays in our classroom every day because we love learning and I love teaching! This is my 12th year teaching and this classroom facilitates Kindergarten through 3rd grade mild to moderate special education students with various needs including Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, OHI (other health impaired ), and speech and language impairments. We have students from various cultures and various students-economic backgrounds. My goal is to increase the students' capabilities through various teaching methodologies. I focus on maximizing the students' happiness, social interactions, self-esteem, creativity, and joy of learning. I use their IEP goals as well as the Common Core Standards in organizing and developing the curriculum. The students are mainstreamed throughout the day for Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Art, Music, Technology, and Library.
