I teach 4th and 5th grade ESE inclusion students. All of my students read below grade level. They do not like to read because they struggle with it. So, to help motivate them, I am looking for high interest, real world, and inspiring stories. My school is a Title One school and ALL the students at my school receive free lunches. So, most of our students have very little background information to draw from to make those very important reading connections.
