I have 25 eager first graders who are like sponges. The challenge I am faced with is that I don't have enough high-interest books at their level. This is the first year our school has given up on basal reading and is implementing guided reading. In leveling my classroom library, I noticed that most of my books were not the "right fit," for first graders.
