As second graders, my students are frequently assessed in Reading and Math. We use what we call "privacy folders" for a couple of reasons. They assure that students are not copying their neighbor's answers and they also allow students to focus their attention on their assessment.
In the past, we've made due with file folders that are stapled together as our privacy folders. OK... true story coming up. Sorry if you get grossed out. I recently threw away our old privacy folders because the last time we went to use them, some creepy crawlers surprised us! We found cockroach poop all over them!
The other Item I am asking for are fluorescent light covers. I've been speaking with our special education teacher and behavior specialist about how to help students with ADD, ADHD and other special needs. The fluorescent lights in the classroom can cause eyestrain, headaches, and anxiety for the students and teacher. I'm hoping these light covers will help ease test anxiety, allowing my students to do their best.
