I am a new teacher at a rural school that houses pre-k through 12 grades. I personally, teach 5th and 6th grades ELA. I wake up each school morning thinking, "Yes! I get to go to school now!" My positiveness is contagious with my students! They can't help smiling and striving for more!
My classes' ratios make up 50-50 in the black/white and about 30/70 to the girl-boy ratio. The majority of students fall under the free lunch program. We do not have a local public library or easy access to the Internet.
