Life can be tough for Kindergarteners nowadays. They're expected to know and do so much! My group of munchkins are bright, but require stimulating activities in order to maintain their interest and love for learning.
I want to offer my students a classroom full of activities and hands-on learning opportunities that they actually enjoy using! My donor requests are meant to be used during center time, as fun and exciting ways to "play" with phonics and math (as opposed to worksheets, drills, and more worksheets...blah!).
-The Stack & Build Phonics Flip Books help students build their phonics skills as they sound out and create a variety of words.
-Simple Words Learning Locks only unlock when students use the key with the correct word on it, helping them to begin recognizing simple words.
-Size & Color Teddy Counters are cute sorting and counting manipulative that can be used in countless ways during math.
-Simple Addition & Subtraction Instant Learning Centers come with enough sets for 4 children to learn how to add/subtract numbers under 10.
-Learn to Count! Dough Mats allow students to have fun making dough shapes while building counting skills.
-Jumbo Magnetic Ten-Frames greatly help students understand the concept of numbers within ten to strengthen their number sense.
-Making Ten Listening Center is designed for up to 4 kids to work at once, and develops skills in composing numbers to 10, decomposing numbers to 10 and counting on.
