Thank you for considering my amazing students and our classroom needs! Our school is located in a low income neighborhood that faces the challenges of poverty, violence and drugs. Most of my students have special needs and are English Language Learners and
I strive to create a safe haven for my students, one that allows them to take risks, make mistakes and defy stereotypes without the fear of ridicule from their peers. It is my passion and joy as a literacy teacher to show my students that despite the challenges they face, they have the ability to achieve beyond district and state wide goals and I strive to make sure they have all the materials necessary. At the end of each year, I hope my students know how incredibly bright, resilient and full of potential they are.
