My classroom is always an active place! Kids are learning something new and exciting each day. I teach 4th graders and love seeing their excitement each time I introduce something new! I am a hands on teacher and encourage my students to find out information for themselves. I love inquiry based learning for my students as well. We spend as much time outside learning as possible. Many students leave my classroom telling me how much they loved our day together, by the end of the year they are sad to leave!
Throughout my years of teaching my philosophy of a classroom have definitely changed. I used to be the teacher with the "normal" looking classroom. Now I have differentiated seating, a tower garden growing, lamps, and a coffee table for the kids to sit at. There was a time where I thought all kids learned the same, now I know that all students learn differently. At their own pace, own way, and own time!
