Welcome to Washington 6th grade! Our reading classroom is clean, bright, and calm. For three, seventy minute periods, 80 students engage, read, speak and write about what they are reading and the life that they are living. Students fill my desks and use their iPads daily. Gathering spaces and small group work areas focus on student learning.
Students spend 20-30 minutes a day independently reading or listening to reading. Students must see themselves within the books in our classroom library. Sadly, we need more representation! My projects focus on getting resources into my students' hands that will engage their learning and provide a reflection of themselves.
Please help fund our projects!
