My school is located in a low-income, high-poverty neighborhood in a major city. My school is located in an urban neighborhood that is 99% African-American with a 99% free lunch rate. The students I service directly are sixth, seventh and eighth grade boys and girls who look forward to coming to school daily. My students have a 97% attendance rate because they love school. Our school has only had a science program for three years. We have since established a Chemistry Club and a Robotics Club over the three years and we have had full participation.
