We're from a not-so-diverse region of Pennsylvania. Next year, we'll be launching a Project Lit book club site for our sophomores, juniors, and seniors to read, discuss, and enjoy books from authors that we've never experienced before.
The selected books represent different cultures and authors, graphic novels and nonfiction; all of our book choices are contemporary young adult lit. We have initiated several new electives to feature high interest books and we hope to use these new selections to expand our reading community to the local libraries, connecting our in-school reading with real-world environments. The students are excited to read books they selected and get to talk about the way they want to - Help us engage our readers!
