I teach a wonderful group of 9th and 11th grade students who are just discovering the power of their own thoughts and creativity. They are excited and hopeful about their future. Many dream of going to college and are eager to prepare themselves for the challenge. We talk of college often in my classroom, which is decorated with colorful college pennants and the words "Prepare Yourself for College." I encourage them to set their goals high for their own achievement and education. Our school has a very minimal budget and almost no classroom technology. I want my students to have what they need to be successful, which often means spending money out of pocket on notebooks, books and other supplies. This can really add up. Any help you could give my students would be greatly appreciated by both my students and me.
