My students are amazing!!!! They make me want to fight for what they deserve. Over 93% of our school is low-income. Almost 1/2 the school is learning English as a second language. Despite any struggles they may encounter, they deserve the very best that I can offer!
I have 18 students in a full day blended Pre-k classroom. Thirteen of my students are typically developing students, while 5 students are diverse learners and have very specific needs.
If you walked into my classroom, you would see children engaged in hands-on lessons, interacting with their peers, and smiling with whatever activity they would be engrossed in at the time. That's because, in my classroom, everyone is treated equally and is expected to be kind human beings that contribute to the classroom and the world.
