Wow! How can I tell you how these materials will effect the learning of my students? First of all my students come from a close knit community and also a high poverty school. My students will have less to worry about if they know that someone cares enough for their education and money is not an obstacle.
As my students arrive they know that material items are not a reason to worry. They only have to know that my #1 expectation is that they come to learn! These supplies will mean a great deal to me also, because I am a first year teacher! The supplies listed are supplies that will be used all year long. The easel self stick pad will be used to post the students graphic organizers around the room so that they can view them throughout the lesson. 3rd grade is a big year! I want my students to completely focus on learning and not whether they need to buy things to use in the classroom.
