I am the Special Education Coordinator at a Title 1 school in Western Heights School district in Oklahoma City. I get the privilege of working with an amazing group of young scholars every day. We are struggling to provide these learners with the most important tools to help them navigate school. Our school relies on grants and community resources. In this class, our students learn everything from basic hygiene, manners, coping and social skills to grade level academics. It is a severe/profound classroom with a large population of students with autism.
