Flexible seating in the classroom serves many purposes! I will use the wobble stools and floor seats as a way to give my students voice and control over where they sit in our classroom. The wobble stools allow students with ADHD or students with extra energy to wiggle their bodies, but still attend to their class work. The floor seats will give students a structured space to work in collaborative groups on the ground. Giving students the choice of where to sit in the room encourages students to reflect on what is best for them and their learning, developing autonomy and responsibility in each student!
I am very excited to give these choices to my students.
