The donations in this project are going to be used in my classroom to help students stay active while remaining socially distanced. I am asking for your help to add a variety of seating options for my very special students. These flexible seating options give students an opportunity to learn while moving.
Attention and engagement levels are at an all-time high in my class when students are able to move about during the instructional day. These items are safe, easily sanitized (which is important during this time), and widely used in classrooms. All items in this project are small and lightweight, which means the littles can independently choose and move their seats!
I have seen how flexible seating can improve a student's ability to focus and remain engaged during instruction. Instead of asking students to sit still for 6+ hours each day, I can encourage them to be children and embrace their wiggles while getting their work done!
