"Please have a seat" has a new meaning. In my classroom, students are able to choose where they will work. Some students cannot do their best work when sitting in a traditional chair.
When choosing a space to do my work, I look for comfortable place where I can focus. Why should my students be any different?
By allowing students flexible seating options when completing a task this will give the them freedom of choice. Also, it will allow them to do their best work in a seating option that fits and caters to their needs.
Having these two wobble chairs in my classroom would give those "wiggle worm" students a place to do their work while still engaging in the activity they are used to. I have seen a huge difference in the focus and quality of work when allowing students to choose their seat. These wobble chairs would add to the variety of seating options available in my classroom in order for my students to do their best, 3rd grade work.
