The outdoor play equipment will allow students to channel their energy in positive venues. The equipment will allow our class to have our own supply of materials that we can sanitize after each use to limit the spread of germs. Students will be allowed to play outside during recess and physical education. This will allow them appropriate time to move around for exercise and to release both positive and negative energy.
When students are allowed time outside, their energy is redirected from potential classroom interruptions. This is even more important in an enviroment in which students are spacially and socially distanced from each other and are discouraged from moving within the classroom. This project seeks to build a bridge between maintaining social distance, building a classroom community and promoting physical wellness.
