My school is a Title I school in the coal fields of Southern West Virginia. The students come from a small towns and up hollows. Many students have coal mining parents but a lot are living in generational poverty. In many cases the only places that the student comes in contact with 21st century technology is at school. The thrill the students have when they get to explore the Internet or play an educational game in the computer lab gives me a small reminder of why I love teaching.
