"Science is simply the word we use to describe a method of organizing our curiosity." -Tim Minchin
I feel that every child, at any age has a wide range of curiosity inside themselves that needs to come out into the world to make it a better place. There is no better way to do so than through the avenue of science. Science helps students formulate thoughts and ideas, read and think critically, and look at the world through different lenses. I feel that with the world we live in now these skills are even more important today. These materials will help me foster this love of curiosity and learning in my students in the classroom. We will explore the new science standards by using tools and hands-on experiments to learn content material and vocabulary in a students centered classroom. Students will safely work together to discuss observations and scientific outcomes from their experiments to further their understanding of the content materials. The tools and mats will be used for years to come.
