I teach in a middle school. My classroom is with grades seven and eight on a looping team. I teach in a city where budget cuts are the norm. Items get replaced less frequently and students are forced to share resources. This slows down the learning process. Sharing texts and supplies is a primary example of the latter. There seem to be no dimes left in the budget for to replacement items.
