For a semester we will broaden students horizons about making food, shopping for food and evaluating which food we want to eat and why.
This book talks about nutrition, chemistry, cooking, economics and has easy recipes for beginning cooks. We will use it every week and explore the differences between the choices the students and families make daily.
We will have at least one parents' night to show them what their children have been learning and doing during the club.
Every week we will try new food and learn how to prepare it. The students will be able to take home the reference book to share with their families.
