My amazing 9th graders attend a rural junior high school in Georgia. I teach six inclusion Biology classes with my co-teacher, and our students possess varying reading levels that affect their ability to access grade level material. In order to address these deficits in reading, our school has adopted the PALS program that students participate in once a week. Students are paired with partners and read leveled passages, books, or articles.
