All of the students at our school receive free daily breakfast, free daily lunch, and free food bags on the last day of each week.
Most of them do not have a stable source of food, and concentrating on learning can be impossible when they are wondering if they will be able to eat.
I want to have food on hand so that they won't ever have to worry about not having food available in our classroom. At the end of the day on Monday through Thursday, I want then to be able to ask for food if they need it and know that it will be available to them.
I have chosen healthy snacks, like breakfast biscuits, corn puffs, Nutri-Grain bars, pretzels, and fig bars to give my students energy.
