In small groups, students will have the chance to learn in a way that best suits their needs. With the "see and hear" phone, students can read independently while being able to hear themselves without fear of embarrassment. The beanbag chairs will provide alternative seating for those students who are not comfortable with the traditional desk and chair. Research proves that student comfort has a direct impact on their learning.
In order to cultivate a sense of independence and responsibility, students need a proper storage area that they can call their own. The bookshelf unit will serve as their "mailbox" station with all of their own small group items in one place. The leveled library bins will provide a storage that will make it easy to locate books that are on their individual Lexile levels.
