My students are seniors, full of excitement and apprehension about what is coming after graduation. They are a beautiful mix of Latino, Asian, Pacific Islanders, and many more cultures. They are strong, curious, and they love to learn. Our school is a public high school with nearly 2,500 students, but because of budget cuts state-wide, resources for new materials are scarce, and novels are not a priority. Help me continue the long-standing tradition of learning, experiencing the world, and tackling tough issues through literature.

About my class
