As a teacher in a Title I school, I work with a very diverse group of students. They come from a wide range of backgrounds and have a variety of life experiences, which also means they are very diverse in their academic needs.
My goal is to meet all of my students where they are - academically, behaviorally, and emotionally. This is why my room is so different from your typical Math & Science classroom.
We use project based learning and flexible seating in my classroom, both of which give students the freedom to learn in the way that is best for them and sit in a seat that helps them focus.
