"Bright," "energetic," and "enthusiastic" are a few words that describe my second graders. They are a group of 7 and 8 year olds whose minds are always exploring new ways of learning and processing information. My school is a Title 1 school, so 100 percent of my students are bilingual and come from economically disadvantaged homes. They get served free breakfast, lunch and supper. My class is comprised of students with different disabilities such as SpEd, dyslexia, ADHD and Gifted and Talented. They come to school with wide smiles and are eager to learn. They love to be in school, what most consider their second home. They are full of energy, always moving, and always wanting to learn about the world around them.
