My elementary students gain valuable emotional and academic support while learning about artists and practicing art techniques with various mediums, such as watercolor, acrylic, paint sticks, colored pencil, and modeling clay. During the pandemic, students find extra enjoyment in the creative process: sketching their experiences, trying new artistic techniques, learning more about their strengths, and aesthetic appreciation. Although students are socially distant and unable to share supplies in the classroom, we still, have a supportive class culture. I work intensively to safely deliver a wide variety of art supplies to 120 students, each week, on a cart; while the students share their artwork from their desks, for each other鈥檚 approval. The supplies selected from School Specialty, are 鈥渁rt-on-the-cart鈥 friendly, meet the Covid health guidelines, and will bring joyful creativity to 240 students by the close of this school year, as well as in the coming years. Thank you for giving so generously to these students to enrich their lives with art!
